| Bio: | After a couple of years on LJ I guess its about time I did something more informative as a bio.... Somewhat a Scot in exile, I have ended up living in the one place in the UK I swore I'd never end up, London! But thats where my ex wanted to work, so thats where we came..... for now, thats where I look likely to stay. Having reached the big four oh-oh, I can't say I'm particularly bothered by it, Since realising I was going to make it past 30, I've sort of looked forward to growing old dis-gracefully. Yes I'm an official cripple (Arthritic spine, hips, hands... and its slowly spreading) but it isn't a big deal. If you meet me, you probably won't realise as I try not to let it restrict me too much. Just don't expect me to go an any route marches with you! I don't give a flying feck what most of the world thinks of me, if I like you, you'll probably know it. if I don't like you, it'll be even more obvious. My honesty is very blunt and my humour often on the darker side, I rarely inspire indiffrence, folks usualy either like who I am or loathe it. As for those who I call 'friend', for a diverse bunch they have one overriding thing in common, they have a brain and use it. If it is arrogant not to enjoy the company of thick morons, then fine, I'm arrogant! Currently getting used to living alone having spent over 19 of the last 20 years living with one primary partner or another. That situation is likely to continue for at least the next couple of years as My lovely other half currently lives about 400 miles away, but will be moving down to be with Me eventualy. Meanwhile..... shitloads of traveling back and forth! I am an unmittigated flirt. If I'm flirting with you it is MOST likely just because I enjoy flirting, if you aren't sure but want to know, ask. I have far more interests than those listed below, if I listed them all it would be a hell of a big list. The biggest one of all is my life-long love afair with photography, I got a camera put in my hands at around age 5 and never been without one since. I do post piccys in here but try to remember to keep the size down and put them under a cut, but even so my LJ is probably not dial-up friendly at times, I think most of the folks on my FL have came out of the stone age and are on broadband though so... ;) As per this recent FAQ: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=112 I'm an adult and sometimes cover topics of an adult nature. If your a parent who is worried about your offspring accessing such topics, then MONITOR what they are bloody reading on the internet and be a responcible parent rather than sit on your arse ignoring what your kids are doing and then blaiming other people for what they read. Your kids are YOUR responcibility, not MINE! Also, Re: friends list. I don't 'do' drama over the damn thing. 99.9% of my posts aren't screened and non friends comments just get screened since I got an idiot spammer, so if you want to read/comment, feel free to add and doing so, you won't be missing anything if I don't add you back. Simerlarly if I am interested in what I see on your journal I'll add you, if I find I'm skipping your posts at some later time I'll drop you off again. It isn't a personal thing, its NOT a big event, its a journal thats all! If your on here, I'm reading your posts, is all it means. If who adds/drops/whatever from an LJ friends list upsets you so badly then you definatly need to get a life! | |||||||
